APC clarifies membership dues requirement for primaries

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has clarified that party members are not required to present proof of payment of membership dues to participate in the ongoing primary elections.

This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

The statement reads “The All Progressives Congress (APC) wishes to clarify that there is no requirement for Party members to show proof of payment of APC membership dues in order to vote in the ongoing Primary Elections. All duly registered members of the Party are entitled to participate in the exercise.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the requirement to show proof of payment of APC membership dues was applicable only to aspirants and their nominators during the submission of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms as well as during the screening exercise.

“The Party urges members and stakeholders to disregard any contrary information, and enable all duly registered party members to participate peacefully in the ongoing primary elections without hindrance,” it stated.
