APC leaders storm Abuja ahead of Tinubu’s certificate of return presentation

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

Leaders and key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have arrived at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja for the final collation of results from the party’s presidential primary election, where President Tinubu is expected to be formally declared the winner and unveiled as the APC’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

The presentation ceremony is scheduled to take place at the conference centre on Sunday, following the conclusion of the nationwide collation exercise from the presidential primary, which took place on Saturday.

An earlier statement issued by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga confirmed that President Tinubu would on Sunday receive the APC’s Certificate of Return and the party’s flag as its standard bearer for the 2027 presidential election.

The high-profile gathering is to be attended by APC governors, members of the National Executive Committee, NEC, the National Working Committee, NWC, members of the National Assembly, and other top party stalwarts who are attending the ceremony.
