APC presidential primary: Tinubu records landslide victory in Deputy Senate President’s ward

Daily Post about 4 hours 2 mins read

The Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, on Saturday, disclosed that President Bola Tinubu pulled a landslide victory at the ongoing All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primary in Kano Ward in Kabo Local Government Area of Kano State.

Barau said Tinubu polled 1004 out of 1007 eligible votes, while his lone challenger got zero votes.

Posting on X, the Deputy Senate President described Tinubu’s victory in his Ward as massive, impressive, and overwhelming.

He said: “I am deeply humbled by the massive turnout and peaceful conduct at today’s APC presidential primary in our  Kabo ward, Kabo Local Government Area of Kano State.

“Members of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, in my home ward, Kabo Ward overwhelmingly voted for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

“President Tinubu secured every single vote, 1004 out of 1007 eligible voters, while the lone challenger polled zero votes. Three of the eligible voters were absent.

“That is not just a victory, it is indeed, a clear statement of our unity and resolve. Seeing our party members, the LGA chairman, and hundreds of supporters queue behind President Tinubu’s poster displayed by my humble self, reaffirms what I have always believed – that Kabo Ward, Kabo LGA, Kano North, Kano State, North and indeed the entire country stand firmly for the progressive leadership of President Tinubu.

“With this massive turnout across the country, Insha Allah, the coast is clear for President Tinubu’s victory, come January 16th, 2027, the date set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

“Governor Abba, I, and all our APC candidates will surely ride on this same wave of victory. Our party is ready, united, and unstoppable. Victory assured, Insha Allah.”
