Babcock University takes legal action against Carter Efe over alleged certificate forgery

Babcock University has taken legal action against Nigerian streamer, Carter Efe over alleged school certificate forgery.

Carter had during an interview with Egungun of Lagos claimed that he had completed his studies at the private university with top honors, after which he shared his purported graduation certificate on X platform.

The streamer claimed that he held
Biochemistry degree certificate with “First Class Upper” in the university.

Reacting to the development in a public statement released on Sunday, Babcock University described the claim as false.

While informing the public that the institution “has no classification known as First Class Upper”, it however stated that “The University will pursue appropriate legal action against those responsible for these forgeries.”

“FRAUD ALERT, Babcock University does not issue “Honorary Certificates” for undergraduate performance and has no classification known as “First Class Upper.

“Any document claiming otherwise is fraudulent and should be disregarded. We urge the public to verify all credentials through the Office of the Registrar”, it stated.
