Jah Oil over the weekend announced it has now successfully brought down the price of rice in The Gambia, with its variety now sold for only D1,500 for retail, and D1,450 for wholesale.
The latest price structure is a reduction from the previous price tag of D1,950 a bag, a significant reduction at a time when every dalasi matters.
“Once again, Jah Oil Company Ltd is showing that it cares about Gambians and is willing to make essential commodities more affordable,” a statement from the company said yesterday.
The new prices take effect by end of August.
