Ballon d’Or 2026: He has completed football – Troy Deeney names winner, top five ranking

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Watford legend, Troy Deeney has named the player he believes should win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

Deeney also named the players he believes should finish in the top five of the Ballon d’Or ranking.

According to him, Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal is the only player who should win the Ballon d’Or because he has “completed football.”

“The only winner, Lamine Yamal, 19 years of age. Completed football. Won the Euros, won the World Cup,” Deeney said via CBS Sports Golazo.

“The Champions League is next for him to win, but he has completed football. If he stops playing football today, he’s got an unbelievable career that 99.9% of people could wish they could have. He is just the best.”

“Lamine Yamal, Michael Olise, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe,” he added, while naming his top five players for the Ballon d’Or.
