Football pundit and commentator, Constantin Eckner, has backed Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane to win the Ballon d'Or this year.
According to Eckner, Kane is ahead of Barcelona's Lamine to win the Ballon d’Or due to his brilliant performances.
“Yes. I see him [Harry Kane], pretty much ahead of Lamine Yamal [in the race for the 2026 Ballon d'Or], I think it will be a race between these two," Eckner said of Kane, as quoted by Casino Guru via Bavarian Football Works.
"It might be Harry Kane’s time, I think he would be the safe winner."
Kane netted more than 70 goals for club and country last season and also won the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich.
The former Tottenham Hotspur captain also won the European Golden Boot and led England to win a bronze medal at the World Cup.
