Manchester City legend, David Silva, has snubbed Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal while naming the player to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
According to Silva, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz is the player who should win the Ballon d’Or.
He described Ruiz, who won all the major trophies in the last two years, as a wonderful footballer, adding that he admires him.
“For me, teamwork is the most important thing, because without it you cannot win,” Silva said on El Partidazo (via Mundo Deportivo).
“If I had to give the Ballon d’Or to someone, it would be Fabian, because he has won the most titles in the last two years.
“He does not get enough recognition, I do not know why, because he is a wonderful player. I admire him a lot.”
