Ballon d’Or 2026: Indian goalkeeper, Gurpreet Sandhu names three favourite players to win award

Daily Post 1 day 1 mins read

Indian goalkeeper, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu has named three of his favourite players to win the Ballon d’Or this year.

Speaking recently to Gulf News, Sandhu insisted that Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane and Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal can win the Ballon d’Or.

“There are a lot of good candidates. We have seen a lot of chat about the nominees and who should win it,” Sandhu said.

“I think Mbappe has been a Ballon d’Or candidate in the past, but he has not won, and probably deserved to. I feel like he is long overdue.

“Then there is Harry Kane. He’s scored about 60 goals this year, so it could also be him. For me, though, I think Lamine Yamal has a good shot too,” he added.
