Ballon d’Or 2026: Luis Figo names seven who can win award this year

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Real Madrid legend, Luis Figo, has named seven players who can win the Ballon d’Or this year.

The players are Rodri, Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, Harry Kane, Ousmane Dembele and Michael Olise

According to Figo, the players who can win the 2026 Ballon d’Or had a fantastic season.

“In my opinion, there are three or four favourites to win the Ballon d’Or. A Spaniard for having won the World Cup, such as Lamine Yamal or Rodri,” the Portuguese was quoted by Madrid Universal as saying via Mundo Deportivo.

“Mbappe and Messi were also very good. We could also mention a player from PSG for having won the UEFA Champions League. Dembele, for example, could also be among the favourites.

“And I can’t forget Olise or Kane, who have also had a fantastic season. It is true that there are plenty of contenders this year.”
