Rwanda forward, Joy-Lance Mickels has named Real Madrid striker, Kylian Mbappe as the player who deserves to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Speaking ahead of Rwanda’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier against Liberia on Friday, Mickels insisted that the France captain has been exceptional.
The Sabah star said, via New Times: “For me, Kylian Mbappe deserves to win the Ballon d’Or.
“What he has done this season has been exceptional, and I think he has shown why he is one of the best players in the world.”
Mbappe is among the 30 players shortlisted for the 2026 Ballon d’Or following his brilliant displays for both club and country.
