Ballon d’Or 2026: They’ve strong arguments – Anthony Gordon picks two players to win award

Anthony Gordon has named two players he believes could win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

According to Gordon, Lamine Yamal and Harry Kane are his choices for the award because they have strong arguments based on what they have achieved in recent months.

The 25-year-old was speaking ahead of England’s Nations League clash with Spain on Saturday.

“It’s incredible what Lamine Yamal has accomplished at such a young age. He is on a completely different level right now,” Gordon said, according to Mundo Deportivo.

“The Ballon d’Or, for me, has to go to one of these two [Yamal and Kane], based on what they have achieved.

“But if we are talking about last season, Harry Kane has as strong a case as anyone because his season was historic.

“The number of goals he scored, the things he did for us at the World Cup. They both have strong arguments.”
