Ballon d’Or 2026: Top 4 players to win award as World Cup enters quarter-finals

France captain, Kylian Mbappe, currently has the biggest chance to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or award.

Mbappe is the top scorer at the ongoing World Cup, as Les Bleus have qualified for the quarter-finals.

The 27-year-old has netted seven goals and provided two assists.

According to Polymarket, Mbappe has a 26% chance of winning the Ballon d’Or award.

England captain, Harry Kane, who has scored six times at the tournament is in second place with 23%.

Both Lionel Messi (Argentina) and Ousmane Dembele (France) have been given an 11% chance.

Interestingly, Messi who has won the Ballon d’Or eight times already, had a less than 1% chance before the World Cup kicked off.
