Former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has questioned Harry Kane’s 2026 Ballon d’Or win.
The Frenchman insisted that the Bayern Munich and England striker has never been the player to drag his team through the biggest matches.
Nasri gave that verdict while reacting to Kane’s victory in London on Monday over Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal.
Speaking to Canal+, he admitted Kane’s statistics and quality made the difference.
"The statistics made the difference," Nasri said of Kane's Ballon d'Or triumph.
"But he’s never been the player who carried his team somewhere or made his team win in the very big matches."
Nasri, however, called Kane an "extraordinary player."
Kane, 33, scored 73 goals in all competitions for Bayern and England last season, winning three major titles including the Bundesliga.
