Ballon d’Or: ‘I love him’ – Rio Ferdinand names player to win award

Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has tipped Real Madrid midfielder, Jude Bellingham to win the Ballon d’Or in the near future.

Ferdinand stated this while speaking to former Manchester United teammate Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast.

The former England defender appeared to agree with Chicharito that Bellingham is ‘underrated’.

“I love him. I will go as far as saying I think he will win a Ballon d’Or one day,” Ferdinand said.

Bellingham joined Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in 2023.

The England international has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world.

He will be among the contenders for the 2026 Ballon d’Or after his exploits for England at the World Cup.
