New Barcelona midfielder, Rodri has claimed that team-mate, Lamine Yamal has the potential to win the Ballon d’Or.
Rodri was speaking to the media during his official unveiling on Tuesday.
The former Man City man, however, praised Yamal for understanding that football is a collective sport.
“He understands football in a collective way,” Rodri said.
“We are here to win titles, and we do not give individuals too much importance. Individual numbers are a result of things being done correctly.
“Lamine is going through an incredible development, and he has the potential to reach Ballon d’Or level,” he added.
Following a fantastic season in which he won LaLiga with Barcelona and the World Cup with Spain, Yamal is regarded as one of the leading candidates to win this year’s Ballon d’Or.
