Suspected armed bandits have reportedly killed a community security commander in Idofin-Ayekale, Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Reports reaching DAILY POST indicated that the security commander, identified as Agbeniga Taye, a local security guard, paid the supreme price while defending residents during an attack on the community on Thursday evening.
Informed sources also disclosed that the attackers abducted two people during the incident, heightening concerns over the security situation in parts of Kwara South Senatorial District.
The incident has caused concern among residents, with fears growing over the impact of repeated attacks on communities and families in the area.
The identities of the two people abducted during the attack were not immediately available at the time of filing this report.
