Armed bandits have reportedly abducted more than 10 passengers and a driver travelling from Yauri, Kebbi State, to Abuja.

The abduction reportedly occurred on Sunday, October 25, although the exact location of the attack and the circumstances surrounding it remain unclear.

A video obtained by DAILY POST shows the abducted passengers sitting together as one of the captives makes a telephone call, reportedly to his mother, while an armed bandit points what appears to be an AK-47 rifle at the group.

The footage also shows the abductors forcing the victims to make telephone calls to seek ransom, although further details about the demands remain unclear.

The video has since circulated on social media, raising concerns about the safety of the abducted passengers and the driver.

The identities of the victims, their current whereabouts and their fate remain unknown as of the time of filing this report.

Security agencies had yet to issue an official statement on the incident or confirm whether rescue operations had begun as of the time of filing this report.
