Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has said that Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, is a huge asset not only to the Igbo nation but also to Nigeria, and humanity.
This was contained in a birthday message the governor sent to Nigerian former Ambassador to Spain, where he also enjoined her to continue to uphold the virtues and character that have distinguished her and made her an admirable amazon.
The governor’s birthday felicitations to the minister was endorsed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma. The former Beauty Queen celebrated her birthday on August 5, 2026.
Governor Otti described Ambassador Ojukwu as an amazon who has distinguished herself in many facets of human endeavour, noting she deserves to be celebrated.
He recalled that the minister supported the struggle for Abia’s redemption, starting from when he first ran for governor on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), adding that she is “an honest, just, and courageous Nigerian who has represented womanhood diligently and positively.”
“On a day like this, I feel excited to celebrate my sister and friend, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, on the occasion of her birthday. She is a woman of strong will and courage. An amazon from the East who has distinguished herself in many facets and continues to prove that, with courage and character, nothing is too big for any human being to accomplish,” the governor stated.
He noted that her appointment as Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, “her commitment and accomplishments were already outstanding and commendable.”
The governor assured Ambassador Ojukwu that he would continue to support and stand by her at all times as she strives courageously to write more success stories in her eventful life and wished her a happy birthday, while praying that she would live long in good health to celebrate many more beautiful years ahead.
