BREAKING: Dangote Refinery increases diesel price as crude tops $94 per barrel

Daily Post about 4 hours 2 mins read

Dangote Refinery has increased the price of Automotive Gas Oil, AGO, otherwise known as diesel, at its gantry nationwide as crude oil prices topped $94.13 per barrel.

A market survey conducted by DAILY POST on Thursday showed that the refinery has raised its AGO price to N1,670 per litre from N1,570.

This means that the 700,000-barrel-per-day refinery increased its diesel price by N100 per litre, or 6.4 per cent.

Meanwhile, Dangote Refinery is yet to officially confirm the latest diesel price hike to DAILY POST as of the time of reporting.

The development means that the pump price of diesel is expected to rise above the current rate of between N1,700 and N1,790 per litre in Abuja.

Recall that on August 6, Dangote Refinery reduced the gantry prices of both diesel and Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, to N1,570 and N1,165 per litre, respectively.
