BREAKING: Dangote Refinery: More Nigerian filling stations reduce petrol price after NNPCL cut

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

More Nigerian filling stations have reduced their petrol pump prices to remain competitive in the country’s petroleum downstream sector.

DAILY POST market survey on Friday showed that AA Rano, Ranoil and other filling stations in Abuja and its environs have reduced their fuel prices to N1,400 per litre from N1,420 per litre.

This means that petroleum product marketers have adjusted their fuel prices downward by N20 per litre.

This comes after the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), MRS and Geregu filling stations in Abuja reduced their petrol prices to N1,370 per litre.

The latest fuel pump price drop brings the retail petrol price range to between N1,370 and N1,430 per litre in Abuja and its environs.

Recall that more than a week ago, Dangote Refinery reduced its gantry petrol price by N25 per litre to N1,325, which triggered a drop in retail fuel pump prices across several filling stations in Nigeria.

DAILY POST reports that Dangote Refinery supplied the majority of domestic fuel in Nigeria in August 2026, according to industrial data from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority.
