Music personalities Phenom and DayGenius have engaged in a heated debate over who is bigger globally among Burna Boy, Wizkid and Drake.
Phenom initially argued that Burna Boy is currently bigger than Drake worldwide, citing the Nigerian singer’s stadium performances and FIFA World Cup appearance.
“Worldwide, right now, Burna Boy is bigger than Drake,” Phenom said, insisting that Burna’s ability to headline stadiums in different countries sets him apart.
However, during the debate over Burna Boy and Wizkid, Phenom appeared to reject the argument that Burna’s World Cup appearance alone makes him bigger than Wizkid.
“You can’t say Burna Boy is bigger than Wizkid just because he performed at the World Cup. Would you say Burna is bigger than Drake cos of World Cup performance? Wizkid is the greatest please,” he stated.
DayGenius, however, maintained that Drake remains bigger globally and questioned Phenom’s earlier position.
“Nobody is bigger than Drake,” DayGenius insisted.
Phenom clarified that he was not comparing Burna and Drake strictly within hip-hop, saying, “Drake is the biggest Hip Hop artist. Burna is the biggest African artist.”
The pair also disagreed over Wizkid, with DayGenius repeatedly insisting, Wiz is number one, bro, while Phenom pointed to Burna’s stadium performances.
“Burna does stadium back to back,” Phenom said.
The debate also touched on Shakira and Beyoncé before Phenom jokingly appealed to Burna Boy for a reward, saying, “Burna, if you see this, beg, you know what I mean, run me 10k dollars man.”
DayGenius replied, “We’re sharing oh.”
