Nigerian philanthropist King Mitchy has alleged that singer Burna Boy is yet to reimburse social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) for the ₦250 million reportedly spent on building schools.
King Mitchy made the claim during a livestream with former Big Brother Naija housemate Phyna, where she alleged that VDM used money from his NGO to fund the school projects, believing that Burna Boy would refund the money as promised.
According to Mitchy, the expected reimbursement has not been made.
She said: “Burna Boy has not paid VeryDarkMan the ₦250 million he used in building schools. He withdrew money from his NGO to build the schools, thinking Burna Boy would pay him back, but he didn’t.”
The allegation has sparked fresh interest in the reported arrangement between the singer and the activist, especially following Burna Boy’s earlier promise to support VDM’s activism by providing funds for school construction.
