CAF Champions League: Iyowuna reflects on Rivers United’s draw at San Pedro

Rivers United midfielder, Iyowuna Douglas, admitted that the team’s CAF Champions League away draw against San Pedro wasn’t easy.

The Pride of Rivers battled to a 1-1 draw with the Ivorian side in the first leg of their first preliminary round clash at the Laurent Pokou Stadium on Saturday.

Iyowuna scored Rivers United’s only goal of the game.

He also expressed satisfaction with his performance in the game.

“I’m very happy, it wasn’t an easy task,” Iyowuna stated to the club’s media.

“I’m happy with my performance in helping the team with the draw.”

Rivers United will lock horns with San Pedro in the return leg this weekend.
