Mouloudia Club d'Alger (MC Alger) head coach Ben Yahia is reportedly owed five months’ salary ahead of his side’s CAF Champions League second preliminary round return leg clash against Rangers.
The claim was made by Algerian media personality Chaib Kahoul during an appearance on Dzair Sports on Monday.
Kahoul alleged that Ben Yahia had not received his wages for five months, adding that the club was facing financial constraints.
The report comes four days before MC Alger hosts Rangers in the second leg of the tie.
MC Alger trails 2-0 following the first leg, played at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta last Saturday.
The Algerian club had not officially reacted to the salary claim as of press time.
The winner of the tie will advance to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
