Shooting Stars Chairman, Taiwo Lekan Salami believes his team deserved more from their 1-0 CAF Confederation Cup win against CS Sfaxien of Tunisia.
Lucky Emmanuel grabbed the only goal in the first preliminary round clash at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta on Saturday.
Salami commended his players for their performance in the game.
“It was a good game, we dominated in the first half but we lost the momentum in the second half. We couldn’t keep the ball, all the same we were the better side” Salami told 3SCFANTV.
“It was a game we could have scored more goals. It’s good we kept the clean sheet.
“The result is encouraging for us, we will build from there in our next game.”
Shooting Stars will do battle with CS Sfaxien in the second leg in Sfax next week.
