Chemical and Allied Products Plc (CAP PLC), Nigeria’s leading manufacturer and distributor of paints, coatings and Sandtex paint brand, hosted the grand finale of the 2026 Sandtex Paint Your Dream Challenge in Lagos, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing creativity, empowering young minds and creating meaningful opportunities for the next generation of innovators.

Held at NECA House, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, the grand finale brought together students, educators, parents, judges, media representatives and other stakeholders to celebrate exceptional artistic talent and recognise students whose creativity best reflected the vision of the competition.

More than a painting competition, the Sandtex Paint Your Dream Challenge is a purpose-driven initiative designed to encourage young people to dream boldly, think creatively, and express their ideas with confidence.

Built on the belief that every great achievement begins with imagination, the initiative reflects Sandtex’s commitment to education, youth development and community engagement.

It also demonstrates how colour can inspire innovation, transform homes and communities, and contribute to positive social change.

Through the competition, participating students were challenged to imagine and illustrate the buildings, homes and communities they aspire to see in the future, reinforcing the idea that today’s dreams can become tomorrow’s reality.

At the close of the competition, Sango Senior Secondary School, Agege emerged as the Grand Champion and received the star prize of ₦1,000,000.

Chrisland School secured second place and was awarded ₦750,000, while Praise Generation College finished third and received ₦500,000 in recognition of their outstanding creativity, originality and an artistic interpretation of the competition theme.

Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of CAP PLC, ably represented by the Company Secretary and General Counsel Olutola Bella, described the initiative as an extension of the company’s commitment to creating value beyond its products.

“At CAP PLC, we believe the strongest brands create value beyond the products they sell. Through Sandtex, we are investing in creativity, education and the next generation of innovators because brighter communities begin with empowered young minds.

The Paint Your Dream Challenge reflects our belief that every dream deserves a canvas, and by giving young people the opportunity to imagine, create and express themselves, we are helping to shape a future filled with possibility.”

Also speaking at the event, Ijeoma Barnaby-Nsikak, the Regional Sales Manager, Lagos 1, noted that the initiative brings the Sandtex brand promise to life by connecting purpose with community impact. Sandtex has always been a brand that transforms spaces.

Through the Paint Your Dream Challenge, we are extending that transformation beyond paint by inspiring young people to dream bigger, express their creativity and believe that their ideas matter. Every iconic building, every thriving community and every remarkable innovation begins with imagination. Through this platform, we are encouraging the next generation to see creativity as the foundation for shaping a better future.”

The success of the competition was made possible through the collaboration of participating schools, teachers, parents, judges, retail partners, distributors, the CAP PLC management team and the wider Sandtex community.

Their collective support created a memorable experience for every participant and reinforced the importance of encouraging creativity among young Nigerians.

The Sandtex Paint Your Dream Challenge represents more than a campaign. It embodies the brand’s commitment to inspiring dreams, nurturing creativity and creating opportunities that positively impact individuals, communities and the nation at large.

As one of Nigeria’s most trusted decorative paint brands, Sandtex remains committed to delivering high-quality paint solutions while championing initiatives that support education, creativity and national development.
