Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has unveiled two different squads for Nigeria’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures and an international friendly against Russia.
The Nigeria Football Federation released the selections on Thursday, with Nigeria scheduled to play Madagascar on September 25 and Guinea-Bissau four days later on September 29. The team will then take on Russia in an international friendly on October 6.
For the two AFCON qualifiers, Chelle called up goalkeepers Arthur Okonkwo, Maduka Okoye and Stanley Nwabali.
The defensive options include Bruno Onyemaechi, Calvin Bassey, Olaoluwa Aina and Bright Osayi-Samuel, while the midfield features Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka and Raphael Onyedika.
Victor Osimhen leads the attacking options alongside Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon and Tolu Arokodare.
Chelle has, however, made a number of adjustments to the squad for the Russia fixture, with Chibuzor Atata and Samuel James joining Nwabali among the goalkeeping options.
Kelechi Iheanacho and Popoola Abdulrasaq are also among the players called up for the October 6 friendly, alongside other changes to the squad.
