Chelsea have rewarded Pedro Neto’s impressive start to the season and commitment to the club with a new contract running until 2032.
The Portugal international attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Manchester City, during the summer transfer window but chose to stay at Stamford Bridge and continue under manager Xabi Alonso.
According to Chelsea, Neto has made 108 appearances for the club since joining from Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 2024, registering 40 goals and assists.
The 26-year-old has already scored twice this season, including in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup victory over Leeds United, where his goal completed Chelsea’s comeback.
“It’s an unbelievable moment,” Neto said after signing his new deal. “From when I arrived, I have always felt like the people here helped me a lot. I feel like home here; I feel like I want to achieve more things here.”
Neto also played a key role in Chelsea’s UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup triumphs in 2025, scoring three times during the Club World Cup campaign.
His renewal follows improved contracts for several other key Chelsea players, including João Pedro, Reece James and Moisés Caicedo.
The new deal is also significant against the backdrop of Chelsea’s decision to sell Enzo Fernández to Manchester City for £125 million during the closing stages of the transfer window.
While Fernández pushed for a move away, Neto’s decision to remain has been viewed as a sign of his commitment to Chelsea’s project under Alonso.
Chelsea signed Neto from Wolves for £54 million in 2024, and the winger has since established himself as a versatile attacking option, featuring on either flank as well as at wing-back and in central attacking positions.
He will now remain at Stamford Bridge until 2032 as Chelsea continue to secure the long-term futures of key members of Alonso’s squad.
