Comoros will face Nigeria’s Super Falcons in the next round of the 2028 Olympic Games qualifiers after producing a historic 30–0 aggregate win over Sudan in the first round.
The Coelacanths won the first leg 17–0 on June 3 before sealing the tie with a 13–0 win five days later.
In the first leg, Comoros opened scoring in the eighth minute and went on to dominate proceedings, overwhelming Sudan with relentless attacking pressure.
Nine different players contributed goals, underlining their attacking variety and control.
In the second leg on Monday, they added three first-half goals and 10 more after the break to complete the emphatic sweep.
The Super Falcons are expected to enter the tie as heavy favourites.
Justine Madugu’s team recently defeated Senegal 3–0 in a friendly at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, after a 2–1 win in the first meeting.
The second-round qualifiers will hold between October 5 and 13, 2026, with two African teams set to qualify for the women’s football tournament at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, United States.
