Cristiano Ronaldo: Apologise or risk being sacked – Rio Ferdinand tells Portugal coach Jesus

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has urged Portugal coach, Jorge Jesus to apologise to Cristiano Ronaldo or risk being sacked.

Ferdinand stated this in a post on X while commenting on the dispute between Ronaldo and Jesus.

“The coach has to come out and apologise… otherwise, he’s eventually going to get sacked. He has to say publicly, ‘Listen, I got this situation wrong,’” Ferdinand said.

This comes despite Jesus explicitly stating at a press conference following Portugal’s victory over Norway in the Nations League that he did not need to apologise to anyone.

Ronaldo left the Portugal team amid a reported conflict with Jesus over his playing time with the team.
