Dangote Refinery reduces diesel price to N85/litre cheaper than imported AGO

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Dangote Refinery has reduced its Automotive Gas Oil, known as diesel, gantry price to between N75 and N85 per litre cheaper than imported AGO.

The refinery disclosed this in a new price template made available to its customers, noting that from Wednesday, its diesel would be sold at N1,700 per litre, down from N1,780.

This means that the refinery cut its gantry diesel price by N80 per litre.

Checks by DAILY POST on the import landing cost published by the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria, MEMAN in its petroleum products price bulletin issued on October 5, 2026, showed that diesel landed at between N1,775 and N1,785 per litre.

In comparison, Dangote Refinery’s diesel is now between N75 and N85 per litre cheaper than imported diesel.

The diesel price parity comes as crude oil stood at $89 and $101 per barrel for West Texas Intermediate and Brent crude blends, respectively, at the time of reporting.
