Dating: “If Someone Tells You ‘Let’s See How It Goes,’ That Person Doesn’t Love You” — Pastor Bolaji Idowu Tells Singles

Pastor Bolaji has advised women against tolerating men who keep them in uncertain relationships without making a commitment, insisting that genuine love should come with clear intentions.

According to the cleric, a man who truly loves a woman should be willing to commit rather than leave her wondering about the future of their relationship.

“When there’s love, there’s commitment,” he said, criticising the habit of dating someone indefinitely under the excuse of seeing how things go.

He also questioned the practice of men getting engaged to women but keeping them waiting for years without taking the next step.

“You will not use ring to imprison her and say, ‘I’ve engaged her,’ you’ve engaged her for five years. What should you do with that?” he asked.

Pastor Bolaji further argued that a man who cannot define his relationship when asked about its direction may not genuinely love his partner.

“When you ask someone, ‘What are we doing?’ and they say, ‘I’m not sure,’ they don’t love you. Why? Anywhere there is love, there’s what? Commitment,” he stated.

He also challenged the popular response, “Let’s see how it goes,” questioning where exactly such an arrangement is expected to lead.

The pastor concluded by blaming women’s willingness to accept such uncertainty for enabling men to continue keeping them in relationships without clear commitments.
