Davido asked me never to insult Wizkid again – Carter Efe

Daily Post 1 day 2 mins read

Popular streamer and content creator, Carter Efe has revealed that Afrobeats star, Davido once warned him against insulting fellow singer, Wizkid.

Speaking during a recent interview, Carter Efe dismissed claims that Davido encourages his criticism of Wizkid, insisting that the singer has repeatedly advised him against attacking his colleague.

According to the content creator, many people wrongly assume that Davido is behind his comments about Wizkid because of his close relationship with the DMW boss.

“Davido messaged me and asked me never to insult Wizkid again. People think he’s the one asking me to insult Wizkid,” Carter Efe said.

The revelation comes amid Carter Efe’s recent comments about his strained relationship with Wizkid and his public admiration for Davido.

In a separate interview with TVC, the streamer described Davido as his “helper” and “daddy”, stressing that he would never betray the singer.

He also disclosed that Davido remains accessible to him and recently answered his phone call.

Carter Efe’s remarks have continued to generate reactions online, particularly among fans of both Afrobeats stars, who have long been associated with one of the biggest rivalries in Nigerian music.

Some reactions below:

@Abazwhyllzz: “If this is true, then people should stop dragging Davido into every Wizkid conversation involving Carter Efe.”

@BigTeeOfficial: “Davido telling Carter Efe not to insult Wizkid is actually the plot twist I didn’t expect.”

@WizkidFc4Life: “Carter Efe should focus on his content and leave Wizkid alone. Simple.”

@NaijaMusicPlug: “The funny thing is Carter Efe keeps mentioning Wizkid even after saying he’ll stop.”

@AdaezeSpeaks: “Whether Davido sent the message or not, celebrities should not encourage fan wars.”

@MachalaUpdates: “Wizkid has been minding his business. Why is Carter Efe bringing this up again?”

@TalksWithTimi: “At least Davido’s alleged message shows mutual respect despite what fans think.”
