A PalmPay and EasyBuy agent identified as Justin Azubike Owefu, popularly known as Biggie, has reportedly died following an alleged physical assault during a disagreement over an EasyBuy-financed phone worth ₦185,000 in Abraka, Delta State.

According to information shared by Warri Aproko Studio, Biggie was a graduate of Delta State University, Abraka. He was married and had a 10-year-old daughter.

The report stated that Biggie worked as a PalmPay agent covering Obiaruku, Abraka and Warri, while also facilitating EasyBuy phone-financing arrangements that allowed customers to collect phones and pay in instalments.

The incident reportedly involved a customer identified as Moses Okitikpi, who collected a phone worth ₦185,000, paid ₦30,000 upfront and agreed to pay ₦11,000 weekly.

However, Moses allegedly defaulted on the weekly payments for several weeks, leading to the phone being automatically locked by EasyBuy.

The report further stated that Moses later made some payments and demanded that the phone be unlocked immediately. His guarantor, identified as Onome Okitikpi, who is reportedly his nephew and a POS operator around NUT Junction in Abraka, also became involved in the disagreement.

According to the account, on September 10, 2026, at about 8:30 p.m., Biggie was returning home with his wife and daughter when Moses and Onome allegedly confronted him, demanding that he unlock the phone.

Biggie reportedly explained that the unlocking process could take up to three days, but the disagreement escalated. The two men allegedly seized his phone and other personal belongings.

While attempting to retrieve his belongings, Biggie was allegedly pushed to the ground, causing his head to hit the tarred road.

He reportedly sustained serious head injuries and later developed internal complications. He subsequently fell into a coma for three days.

Sadly, Biggie died on September 13, 2026, three days after the incident.

The matter was reportedly reported at Abraka Police Station on September 11. However, his family members and associates have raised concerns over the handling of the case and are calling for justice.

The allegations are based on the account shared by Warri Aproko Studio and have not been independently verified.
