Daily Post 10 minutes 1 mins read

Youths of Okpara-Inland Community in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State have allegedly burnt vehicles belonging to the community’s President-General, Esosuakpor Esq., and ransacked his house while protesting the death of a young man.

The incident reportedly occurred after the youths also burnt vehicles belonging to the community’s vigilante.

It was learnt that the young man was shot dead by security operatives during an operation in the community.

The protesting youths reportedly linked the death to the failure of the current community executive to approve a youth executive.

They also alleged that the community leadership’s refusal to recognise a parallel youth executive during the last community conference contributed to their actions.

As of the time of filing this report, security operatives had been deployed to the community to prevent a further breakdown of law and order.
