Daily Post about 4 hours 1 mins read

Rosario Central forward Ángel Di María has named Lionel Messi as the greatest player in football history.

According to Argentine media outlet TyC Sports, Di María made the statement after confirming that he would attend Messi’s farewell event with the Argentine national team on Tuesday.

Following Rosario Central’s 1-1 draw with Banfield in the Argentine Primera División earlier today, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star was interviewed and spoke about Messi’s upcoming farewell match for the national team.

“I know we spent many years together. It was an honour to be coached by Diego Maradona and to play alongside the greatest player in history.

“And in my opinion, Messi is the greatest player in history,” Di María said.
