Dino Melaye makes claims about Tinubu’s vacation

Daily Post about 3 hours 2 mins read

Former lawmaker, Dino Melaye, has claimed that President Bola Tinubu went on a three-week vacation because the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has recently bombarded him with a series of attacks.

In a post on his verified X handle, Melaye said President Tinubu needed to run somewhere for a reset.

The former Kogi lawmaker further claimed that the President must have lost stability everywhere after American security agencies fully obliged a US court by submitting his alleged drug-trafficking records.

Speaking on President Tinubu attending the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA, meeting in New York, Melaye said that, as far as America was concerned, based on his records, Tinubu would not make the mistake of taking himself there.

According to him, the temperature, blood pressure and whatever is left of Tinubu’s stamina had all changed, and changed for the worse.

He said the 399 pages of documents containing Tinubu’s records revealed that the President had indeed violated US laws and that the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, had been on his trail, hence the persistent appeal to get the matter buried under the carpet.

“Tinubu needs to run somewhere for a reset after the series of salvos served on him, in sequence, by Atiku Abubakar.

“Nigerians have again been treated to another show of shame that came from Tinubu, without surprise.

“Long before now, pursuant to the build-up to the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, UNGA 81, which is scheduled to open on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the Presidency has made it known to Nigerians that President Tinubu would be attending and participating in the high-level general debates of the Assembly.

“Although, from day one, I knew they were being economical with the truth because I know that, as far as America is concerned, based on his records, Tinubu would not make the mistake of taking himself there now,” Melaye claimed.
