Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

The Naira continued to depreciate against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Tuesday.

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the Naira weakened further to N1,383.08 per dollar on Tuesday, down from N1,379.65 traded on Monday.

This means the Nigerian currency slipped on a day-to-day basis by N3.34 per dollar.

Similarly, at the black market, the Naira remained flat at N1430 per dollar on Tuesday, the same rate exchanged on Monday.

The development comes despite the sustained surge in the country’s foreign reserves movement to $51.85 billion as of July 13th, 2026.

Recall that on Monday and Friday, the Naira declined against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market.
