The United States Dollar traded against the Nigerian Naira at an official rate of approximately 1,358.63 Naira per dollar in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
Spot market transactions opened near 1,365.69 Naira per dollar and moved between 1,356.61 Naira and 1,361.25 Naira per dollar during early trading sessions across the official forex window.

In the parallel market, commonly referred to as the black market, the dollar exchanged at approximately 1,400.00 Naira per dollar. Bureau de Change operators in major trading centers across Lagos and Abuja reported steady liquidity and muted volatility, keeping the parallel rate close to recent trading averages.

The current rate alignment underscores ongoing stability across Nigeria’s foreign exchange landscape. Analysts attribute the reduced spread between the official market and parallel market to the Central Bank of Nigeria’s monetary policy measures, improved liquidity management, and sustained foreign exchange reserves. Traders and corporate buyers continue to monitor market demand as import activities and foreign payments drive daily transaction volumes.
