Dollar to Naira Exchange Rate Today, June 30, 2026: Nigerian currency records first appreciation

The Naira on Tuesday recorded its first appreciation against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market in five days.
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the Naira gained to N1,379.68 per dollar on Tuesday, up from N1,383.63 exchanged on Monday.

This means that on a day-to-day basis the Nigerian currency firmed up by N3.95 against the dollar.

DAILY POST reports this is the first appreciation of the Naira since June 22nd, 2026, when the Naira-to-dollar exchange rate stood at N1,369.11.

Meanwhile, at the black market, the Naira was unchanged at N1,395 per dollar on Tuesday, the same exchange rate traded on Monday.

The mixed sentiments of the Naira’s exchange rate across official and parallel foreign exchange markets come as the country’s external sustained upward trend stood at $51.43 billion as of Monday, June 29th, 2026.

Recall that the Naira extended depreciation against the dollar at the official foreign exchange for the fifth time on Monday.
