The founder of Power City International, Pastor Abel Damina, has asked feminists never to get married if they cannot submit to husbands.
Damina made this call while speaking to his congregation during a church service.
He described feminism as a positive ideology when it focuses on securing equal rights and opportunities for women in politics, the economy, and society.
“Feminism is ladies fighting for equal rights in society, which is ideal. It’s a very wonderful ideology, and it should be like that.
“If a lady doesn’t want to submit to a husband, don’t marry. It’s not a sin for you to be alone and die single. Don’t marry, because if you marry, you will submit one way or the other,” he stated.
However, the cleric argued that some women have taken the concept beyond the pursuit of equality, adopting attitudes that reject male authority while still desiring marriage.
Damina further linked the issue of submission in marriage to Christian faith, saying that believers are first called to submit themselves to Christ.
