Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has officially approved the posting of Commissioner of Police Edwin Ogbegbagha as the new Commissioner of Police for the Taraba State Command.

Torty Njoku Kalu, PSC Head of Protocol and Public Relations, said in a statement that the approval followed a comprehensive interview session held at the PSC Corporate Headquarters in Jabi, Abuja, and presided over by the commission’s chairman, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (retd).

During the session, the commission charged the new Commissioner of Police to demonstrate exceptional professionalism and neutrality in the discharge of his duties, emphasising the critical need for impartiality and public safety as the nation gears up for the 2027 general elections.

“A distinguished law enforcement officer with over 25 years of service, CP Ogbegbagha brings a robust portfolio to his new role. Prior to this posting, he served as the Force Provost Marshal at Force Headquarters, Abuja, a position he has held since March 2026,” the statement said.
