The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the inaugural National Intermediate Games, tagged Eko 2026, has unveiled the official website — eko2026.org — to provide real-time information and seamless access to details about the multi-sport fiesta.
The newly launched platform is designed with simplicity and user experience at its core.
Featuring clean fonts, easy-to-read text, and intuitive user interface, the site ensures visitors can quickly find information and complete tasks without frustration.
Its logical navigation guides users effortlessly to the right pages, making it a reliable digital companion before, during, and after the Games.
Speaking on the website, Gbenga Omotoso, Chairman of the Media and Publicity Sub-Committee, emphasized that the website will serve as a dynamic hub for updates throughout the competition.
“The website is detailed but simple to navigate. We want all our visitors and athletes to know more about the city of Excellence, and that is why the platform will help first-timers get first-hand information about Lagos and the Games,” he said.
Omotoso highlighted Lagos’ proud history of hosting landmark sporting events, recalling the city’s role in staging the maiden National Sports Festival in 1973 and what many still regard as the best-organised edition in 2012.
He assured stakeholders that Eko 2026 will build on this tradition, setting new standards in youth sports development. “When it comes to sports, Lagos is at the forefront. With Eko 2026, we are set to break new grounds by staging the most colourful Games in Nigeria’s history,” he affirmed.
