Enyimba lose to Inter Lagos as Abia Warriors beat Sporting Lagos

Former African and Nigerian champions, Enyimba Football Club of Aba, on Sunday lost 1-0 to newly promoted side Inter Lagos in Aba.

Ezekiel Moses’ 18th-minute goal secured the maximum three points for Inter Lagos.

Enyimba had lost 2-0 to Niger Tornadoes and 2-0 to Doma United before suffering the latest defeat on Sunday.

The defeat leaves Enyimba without a win after four matches in the new Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

It was, however, an evening of consolation for Abia football as Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia recorded a 2-0 away victory against Sporting Lagos. The official NPFL results confirm the scoreline.
