Brentford’s 3-0 humiliation of Chelsea means they have now achieved their best-ever start to a Premier League season.
The Bees’ second-half performance saw them cruise to an emphatic victory at Gtech Community Stadium.
Goals from Jaidon Anthony, Igor Thiago, and Fabio Carvalho means they remain unbeaten so far.
“At half-time, he (Andrews) just wanted us to increase the intensity and keep believing,” Anthony said.
“Fab [Carvalho] told me a couple of days ago that I was going to score, so I’m really happy with that one. It was an unbelievable feeling.”
Keith Andrews’ men now have nine points from their opening five Premier League fixtures.
This tally has surpassed Brentford’s previous best five-game top-flight start of eight points, set during the 2021-22 campaign.
