EPL: Carragher names only two teams that will fight for title this season

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has claimed that only two teams will fight for the Premier League title this season.

Carragher was speaking on Sky Sports after his former club lost 3-0 to Manchester City.

City went on to score three goals in the second half after Ryan Gravenberch was shown a second yellow card.

Carragher has now predicted that Enzo Maresca’s men will battle it out with current holders Arsenal to be crowned champions.

He also lamented the delay in punishing City after they were found guilty of financial breaches.

“We need a resolution as soon as possible because we’re watching a game and not sure what it actually means going forward, and wondering if it even makes any difference to Man City or the title race with Arsenal,” Carragher said.

“Arsenal and Man City are the two best teams by a mile. We know that, and no one else is really going to compete with them for the title.

“We want every game to matter, but right now it doesn’t.”
