EPL: Carragher reveals Arsenal player to lose position because of Bruno Guimaraes

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, believes Martin Zubimendi will lose his position in the midfield when Bruno Guimaraes finally arrives at the Gunners.

Guimaraes is all set to join Arsenal from Newcastle United in a £75m deal this summer.

Speaking on the Football Ramble podcast, Carragher said of Guimaraes’ imminent move to Arsenal, “Do you think it’s the end for Zubimendi there? In terms of being what he was supposed to be when he was brought in.

“He was supposed to come in and be this controller. I don’t see him ever getting that place back now.”

Guimaraes featured for Brazil at the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament, and he was impressive for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
