The Premier League is already into its fourth game week, and this round of fixtures promises to be exciting.
Sunday’s Manchester derby is obviously the pick of the bunch.
It will be the first derby for Enzo Maresca, who replaced Pep Guardiola in the summer, and his side head into the match with a perfect record.
Manchester United need maximum points if they want to be in the title race.
But before then, there are interesting games in which we could see upsets:
- Liverpool vs Fulham: Before Alexander Isak’s quickfire double helped Liverpool beat Ipswich Town last Friday, Liverpool had recorded consecutive 2-2 draws in the league. The visitors to Anfield this Saturday will be Fulham, who are already fighting for their lives, having failed to win a game so far. It could prove to be a tasty affair.
- Chelsea vs Hull: It is quite incredible that Hull City are the only team across England’s leagues yet to concede a goal. They travel to free-scoring Chelsea, who beat Leeds United 6-3 in the Carabao Cup in midweek. The Tigers have already shocked Manchester United this season and could repeat the trick.
- Tottenham vs Everton: Having spent a truckload of money on new players in the summer, Tottenham are yet to score a goal this season. They welcome Everton, who are still in high spirits after their late goal against Manchester United last weekend. It could be yet another tough day at the office for Roberto De Zerbi’s men.
- Sunderland vs Arsenal: It was at the Stadium of Light that Arsenal’s run of not conceding goals ended last season. Sunderland are notoriously dangerous hosts and will be looking to end the champions’ perfect start to the season. It will also be the first time the Gunners are playing back-to-back away fixtures this season.
