Manchester United legend Gary Neville has identified where manager Michael Carrick got it wrong against Manchester City.
Carrick watched as Man City defeated Man United 1-0 in Sunday’s Premier League derby.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville insisted that Carrick got it wrong with his game plan by not bringing Benjamin Sesko on at half-time.
“I think Michael Carrick may reflect upon the fact that he could have made changes earlier,” Neville said.
“When you know for 20 minutes before half-time that it’s not going your way with 11 men, I think then Sesko should have come on straightaway to be a bit more of a battering ram up top.
“He made the substitution eventually after 67 minutes, which only left Sesko with 25 minutes, so things like that will be reflected on and analysed, I am sure. That is what they have got to concentrate on.”
